About Tigex

1/ Our background...

The Allegre companies were founded in 1949. This family-owned business located in Saint-Etienne initially specialised in the distribution of pharmaceutical products, such as dressings, feeding bottles, cotton swabs, etc.

Subsequently, the French baby care market grew considerably due to the post-war baby-boom, and also in response to the momentum in the retailing sector.
Consequently, the 1950s saw a commitment by Allegre to the development of an actual range of baby care products which would from 1965 be given the name TIGEX.

Since then, the brand has continued to expand by paying attention to market trends.

Today, Allegre Baby Care is represented by the brands TIGEX and NUK.
Currently the baby care market leaders in France, Spain and Portugal, as well as having a strong presence in many other countries, TIGEX is a multi-specialty brand offering a complete range of over 350 products.
More than 120 persons at the Saint-Etienne location synergistically engage their skills and expertise in the cause of a single objective: to design quality products to meet our customers’ needs.

2/ Our philosophy : your baby’s development and well-being...

Designed to promote baby’s development and alertness, TIGEX baby care products are adapted to each stage of his growth. The brand’s by-line “Inspiring your baby’s well-being” aptly illustrates the company’s mission: to provide comfort and safety for both baby and parents.
In order to meet your needs as far as possible, all of our products are designed with the help of specialists: these include designers, infant care nurses, paediatricians, occupational therapists and osteopaths.
Each product is tested by independent laboratories for compliance with current standards, with the aim of providing the best solutions for baby and family.

The vast majority of our products or projects are tested by a panel of mothers or expectant mothers or at roundtable discussions bringing together consumers and mothers of young children.

In order to meet the demands of consumers as well as our distributors, our company uses staff highly skilled in a variety of fields: marketing, communications, French and international sales and marketing,  logistics and appropriate solutions, manufacturing, accounting, etc.
