1 - Where do accidents occur in the home?

2 – An accident for every age group!

It is worth remembering that the most serious accidents usually happen to children aged between 1 and 5.

Before 18 months:

Falls: from changing tables, bouncing chairs, cribs, high chairs, adults´ arms, pushchairs, etc.

2 years and upwards:

Falls on the stairs or from slides

2-7 years:

Falling from windows, falls: from balconies, trees, swings or other outdoor games (roundabout), etc…

3 - What foreign bodies are swallowed or inhaled most often?

For the respiratory tract, peanuts represent the greatest hazard (50%), followed by pistachios, hazelnuts, etc.

In the digestive tract, it is most often small coins that are found (careful with those pennies)! , small button batteries, sharp objects (drawing pins, tacks, etc.)

And last but not least, for every 5 accidents, 3 boys are injured compared to 2 girls!

Naturally, you cannot shut your child up in a golden cage. Making him aware of hazards is also part of his education!
